To prevent the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, the world must remove carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere. This is in addition to dramatically reducing current carbon emissions. According to the IPCC, we will need to remove 10 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually by 2050 to limit the rise of global temperatures past 1.5°C. Solving this problem enables the opportunity for a trillion-dollar carbon dioxide removal (CDR) industry.

Holocene removes carbon from the atmosphere using novel chemistry for direct air capture (DAC). We’re a group of engineers with years of experience leading R&D organizations, commercializing DAC technology, and building climate companies.
